University of Hawaii at Manoa's High School Direct Entry in NursingThe High School Direct Entry Into Nursing Program (HS-DEN) is for Hawai`i high school seniors choosing a career in Nursing. This program provides an opportunity to enter the nursing program upon admission to UH Manoa. The 4 -year Baccalaureate Nursing program includes one year of pre-nursing courses followed by 3 years of nursing and core classes. Students who complete the degree are eligible to take the RN licensure examination (NCLEX-RN). During their first year, students will join a learning community designed for the HS-DEN program.
