About Career Kokua

Career Kokua logoCareer Kokua, the Hawaii Career Information Delivery System, is a computerized system of career and related educational information. Its mission is to provide localized current information for career decision making and career planning. 2008 marks Career Kokua's 28th year of providing quality localized career information to Hawaii's schools and career development agencies.

Career Kokua provides an excellent start in the career exploration and planning process. It can give you a better sense of self, your career goals, and the decisions affecting the achievement of these goals.

Career Kokua includes career assessments which you can use to link your self-reported preferences to occupations.

  • CAREER NAVIGATOR is a 28-item occupational sorting tool that matches an individual's work preferences and life priorities to occupational requirements.
  • HOLLAND is an activity which will match your personality type to occupations.
  • SKILLS is a skills analysis process for listing skills and finding matching occupations
  • INTEREST PROFILER is a self-directed assessment that can help you learn information about yourself when exploring careers.
  • WORK IMPORTANCE LOCATOR is a 20-item self-assessment career exploration tool that allows users to focus on what is important to them in a job.

If you are not a student or client of one of the schools or agencies listed, go to the nearest Workforce Development Office or One-Stop Career Center.
