The Career Kokua Activities are grouped according to the career development concepts of Career Awareness, Career Exploration, and Career Preparation/Placement as outlined in the "Hawaii Career Development Contiuum" (1974) and the "Foundation Program: Career Education and Guidance" (1976) published by the Hawaii State Department of Education. Activities from the Continuum and the Hawaii Career Development Implementation Model I Red Hill Elementary School were incorporated as well as activities from the Waipahu Community School Career Counseling Program for Adults.
